let's say a year passed and the guy who i think gave it to me is negative after a year of not seeing him. my current boyfirend( of a year) is negative too. all blood test. I know because i had an outbreak a month ago. i haven't had any other partners nor hsv1.

Yes.. Herpes can lay dormant for years! many people have the herpes virus do not even know they have it. You could of contracted herpes from either of your BF's. herpes sores just has not shown up yet. Just get them on the meds too. I take Zovirax for herpes prevention and my BY uses Valtrex.
