Wow...great question.
I lost a good friend of mine in the attack. I did a lot of soul - searching for the first week after I realized she was not coming home. Then I did my best to move on with my life.
You have to remember that this is the way the world works, and we are all too small to fix it. In the end, though, it sorta fixes itself in a weird way.
I will never forget my friend, nor will I ever forget that day. I don't think we as a world ever will. But as the years pass, a normalcy can return in your life to the point you can smile again.
F.Y.I. - I cried during the movie, too.

Well it really showed me how short life is. And how cruel and careless people can be in the world. It just really got me thinking about death and that there is no way of avoiding it. But it isn't a bad thing, even if there isn't a heaven or hell. Eternal rest just sounds good some days when I get home from school or work. It happens to everyone so... how can you see it has bad. Its a part of life, the next chapter you might say.
We will just have to see where we go.

I'm in Canada, so, it obviously didn't affect me as much as the people who live in the US. It did however, still have a profound effect. When it was happening, I couldn't believe what I was watching, it looked like a movie, and so far removed from my reality. I do the effects when I'm travelling by air. There are far more security checks, and people are generally feeling more vulnerable. I guess that's what's affected me the most. I feel vulnerable. We in the west, now have the stark realism that not everyone in the world likes us, and that's hard to understand. We still have to live our lives, and keep things in perspective like what's important, like the love of our friends and family.

When 9-11 happened i was in middle school. Then everything changed. No field trips, more church, and suspecions of every other kind of ethnicty. Life changed for a good year before things calmed down. Now everything is back to normal. It had a great impact dont get me wrong but things have sordove died down now.

um:
1) patriot act...
2)no child left behind act too, and that might shut my school down because its policies are so backwards...
3)more racism toward my friends and me because we're middle eastern or asian
4)immigration laws that not only tear families apart, but my friends too
5)I asked why they attacked us, and I realized they were trying to make a statement. it made me realize that we are doing much worse things to every other country in the world, and that 9/11 was to wake us up.
6)It's so much harder to do anything in this country now...
so much for freedom.
Ultimately, since 9/11 i've been more politcally aware and active because of the grievances above.

short essay? Are you attempting to repeat somebody else's words for homework? shame on you! lol properly, I artwork on a protection rigidity base, and the worst subject i've got observed that each and every time (almost every day) that I see a huge airplane shifting in an angular way, it jogs my memory of that day I first observed it on the information, the horror I felt as I knew what substitute into happening. Now I almost get to relive that 2d everytime I see a airplane. it is not as undesirable, yet nonetheless pains me. P.S. For all people to tell somebody else to 'recover from it' no rely the place they have been whilst it happened is fairly insensitive and unthoughful. it particularly is a 2d that touched all people who values human existence, until they are completely evil or insensitive.

My government has become paranoid and interferes in my life a lot more than it used to. Also, my sons and their friends are having to fight in a war that makes no sense to me, or them. All in all, I think it was sad, but so are many. many occurrences in life. We have never been safe, have no reason to believe that were or ever will be, and that is just how life works. I would prefer that we accepted our losses, grieved for the loved ones we lost, fix the holes in our security but not destroy our country and the freedoms it has been built upon.

Living in New York my life has not changed. I channeled my feelings about that day into a play that I wrote and produced.

I think that everyone has changed, even though they may not admit it. I know I am more cautious, and it seems like I am also watching over my shoulder. This may be crazy, but you cant be too careful.
