Why do guys do this? It is frustrating to say the least. I think I like this one person and I think he may share the feelings, however I am so scared to say anything because I am always just "the sister type". I have been married once and I have a daughter the people that I have been attracted to since then have children and have been single. What do I do to make myself more attractive and less sisterish?

I was the lil brother, but don't try to make yourself more attractive. You say you are, then don't try to change anything. You know what it's like to have been married. Honesty and communication are the keys to being happy. If someone looks at you like a "lil sis" then so be it. Life goes on and there are plenty of other guys out there. So be happy.

Being the "sister type" means he feels comfortable. Show him your wild side with provocative clothes just for him.
