What about rum and Diet Coke?

If you're dieting you should cut out the alcohol. Alcohol has a lot of sugar in it and the average mixed drink gets about 200 calories from the alcohol (in this case rum).

Rum and diet coke is very good, cause the NutraSweet in the coke helps cover the taste of of the rum.

I'm not a big fan of diet coke, but I do like to mix Captain Morgan and Coke. I don't see why it wouldn't work with diet coke. Spiced rum mixes real well with cola, but my favorite is with Dr. Pepper. They compliment each other real well.

As long as there is more rum than the diet coke!! Thats the only way to kill the diet aftertaste.

I can deal with Diet Coke's aftertaste when I'm just drinking it straight. But I don't want that diet cola aftertaste messing with the rum flavor. Just my personal preference not to use diet colas in mixers.
