Cranberry juice and plenty of water to flush out.
Yogurt helps. There is good bacteria in yogurt that also helps in UTI's as well.

I just can't stress strongly enough how you really do not want to mess around with bladder infections.

You say, a "bad" bladder infection ... well, "bad" could include your kidney(s) and / or your urinary tract. Or even other organs / areas of your body.

You really, truly, MUST see a doctor ASAP for a real diagnosis ... if you can't get in to see your regular doctor ASAP, please believe me : this is well worth a trip to the emergency room !!!

Cranberry Juice & Cranberry Tabs to cleanse and lots of liquids to flush are all very advisable once you've been properly diagnosed and as daily preventative measures - but they will NOT make an already active infection go away.

Go see an ER doc ... NOW.

Best of Luck to you; I hope you're feeling better real soon !!

Yes, see a doctor right away. Cranberry juice helps in the treatment of bladder infections, but is not the cure. Only antibiotics will cure by killing the causative bacteria. Do not delay treatment, since, in some people (depending on anatomic or congenital deformities), a bladder infection could cause a kidney infection!

Pure cranberry juice has been proved to work. Drink lots of water along with it to flush your bladder. If the infection persists after 24 hours, contact your doctor. You may need an antibiotic. Prolonging a bladder infection could cause damage to the kidneys.

Maybe cranberry juice and over the counter pills. If it continues for more than 2 days, go see your doctor. Also, drink lots of water, warm water if possible. I know about bladder infections, I use to get them all the time when I worked for Starbucks, not enough water in my system.

Drink 8 ounces of cranberry juice, 4 times a day or take AZO.
AZO is made from the active enzyme from cranberries.

You can find AZO at any drugstore.
I think the cranberry juice is a little better. It works faster.

If you are still feeling pain after 5 days, make an appointment with your doctor. He'll give you antibiotics and probably tell you to continue drinking the cranberry juice. It really does cure it 99% of the time.

Good Luck. been there many times, myself.

See a doctor FIRST. A doctor can diagnose what type of infection you have and prescribe the proper medicine for it. Then, when the infection is gone, drink cranberry juice frequently to help ward off another one. Do NOT mess around with ANYTHING that pertains to your kidneys, bladder and urinary tract. When they are gone....they are gone. Good luck. Pops

I'm assuming you are meaning because you can't get to the doctor today?

There is a product called Azo that is over the counter. It helps with the pain but it will not make the problem go away. So you will need antibiotics from a physician. But you can use Azo tonight and get to the doc tomorrow.
Don't use Azo for longer than 12 hrs without being properly diagnosed and treated by a physician.

Go to a Dr. and get an ultrasound of your stomach area and bladder area. You just wanna be sure you do not have gallstones, gastritis*, or an ulcer. If you do have a bladder infection, you definitely want antibiotics and a Dr. most likely will prescribe FAMOTIDINE, for bladder problems.

Preferably see a doctor and get some antibiotics and make sure you know what you're dealing with. The infection can progress, and the results aren't nice. Some advise drinking extra water to flush the infectious agent, but be suspicious. Please note this really can get nasty.
