Rabbits are lagomorphs not rodents
As to the behaviour, she's bored. She's learnt that when she bangs you give her attention, so that's exactly what she's doing. You'll need to unlearn this to stop it. Rabbits like routine so set aside a time each day when she can be out and you give her all the attention she wants. Do make sure it's a decent amount of time and since rabbits are crepuscular (most active at dawn and dusk) aim for one of these times, like after your evening meal.
You could also give her more room the rest of the time. Build a condo out of NIC cubes, you could even attach a puppy exercise pen so she has even more room. There are some links here to give you an idea of what I'm talking about

It might help a little more if you described in what way she is banging on the cage. Is she tugging on the cage with her teeth? Is she stomping the floor with her feet? When do you notice her doing it? When you come into the room or when you come close to her cage?
If she is stomping the floor with her feet it may be because she is getting scared. Keep the radio on most of the time to get her accustomed to sound and leave the door of your room open most the time. Sudden changes in sound or sudden visual changes will get a rabbit scared and as a result it will thump its feet.
If it does it when you get close to the cage it could either want feed if it is hungry or may just want attention.
It's hard to say for certain without more details.

You can't! I used to own a rabbit and researched this because my rabbit was doing the same thing. Rabbits do this to exercise their legs as part of rabbit behaviour. You may be able to put some kind of padding on the inside of your cage to reduce the impact of the sound.

she probably wants to come out. they always need atleast 3 hours of time to run around and play. If thats not the case, its probably not used to you yet. Some rabbits bang on the cage, and its nothing to worry bout. Others, probably just need some time to have its fun. My rabbit scratches its cage, when it wants me to get it out.
Hope it helps!
take care.

im having the same problem man..its just part of the rabbits personality..theres really nothing you can do except maybe take her out..sometimes that keeps my "old lady" from making noise but rabbits can be very attention greedy. you may have to keep her out for a long time..i have to have mine out for a while alot of times before putting her back in or otherwise she will definitely keep making a huge amount of noise

maybe she wants a larger cage and some outside time. If she is not spayed you might consider that as well, it might help her some. Try giving her a place to hide in her cage like a cubby and hay or a box with two exits.

maybe it wants out. rabbits have powerful feet and they need to stretch their legs. when i had a rabbit i let it run around the house and it was very smart, I didnt even need an alarm clock it got me up at the same time every day. only bad thing was rabbits will chew wires. ya so im guessing it needs to stretch a little.?

My room mate has a rabbit too and it does the same thing, only worse. Its the most annoying thing I have ever experienced. Here's my answer to the problem. Get rid of it! Put it out in the garage or outside. They are outdoor rodents, not for a cage. No wonder they are so annoying! Get a pet with a personality, one thats interactive and won't annoy you to death.

It takes a human to label an animal as "crazy" for wanting to be uncaged. If you were in a 5x5 cell I imagine you might want out too.
Let the rabbit out, or stop complaining about it.

hi I used to apply wood based cat clutter and placed hay on acceptable for my abode rabbits, I then offered them a large hooded tray, they enjoyed it, additionally stored the mess right down to a minmum..stopped it scattering yet you will continually get some bits in front whilst they are leaping out and in,
