The Holy Ghost is not like the spirit of a DEAD person, duh. Unless, the guy above is saying that God is dead.

Anyway, it is all relative.

Some believe they are demons, others believe they are angels. Some believe the dead are dead and do not come back to haunt, others believe they can and do.

It depends on the person and what they have been taught, and what (if any) experience they have had with the paranormal.

If you asking if the Bible teaches that ghosts exist, I can only refer to the scripture where the witch/medium of Endor was called upon by Saul to conjure the spirit of Samuel the prophet. Which she did successfully. (1 Samuel 28)

Now not only was Samuel visible, but he spoke. A dead man, visible and speaking.

In conclusion, this was the spirit of Samuel...not a demon, not a figment of the imagination, not an evil spirit.

Samuel said to Saul: "Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up?"

Maybe, there are "disquieted" spirits roaming the earth. Maybe they are still here for a reason, maybe someone disturbed them and didn't know how to send them back?

I say if a Christian does not believe that spirits can come back, and do...for whatever reason, they don't believe the Bible as truth.

no longer all Christians believe you today flow to heaven or hell after lack of lifestyles some believe in soul sleep till the resurrection and there are a number of different evaluations interior Christianity about what takes position earlier the resurrection. I do discover it exciting that once the disciples pronounced Jesus strolling on the water they were afraid he develop right into a ghost...which skill they of direction believed in ghosts. I merely concede at the same time as it contains some concerns i don't recognize each and everything.

I think Christians believe that ghosts are fabricated by the devil, to make a person believe that they are seeing a loved one or a good friend that has died. Its the way of the devil making one believe that you can die and come back as a ghost. But I think that there is a scripture somewhere that states: that it is appointed for a man to die once then judgement, so there is one death. Christians believe that once you die you can not return as a ghost.

Well, I can't speak for all Christians however, I believe that there is evidence in the Bible that supports belief in spirits / ghosts.

Mat 14:26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

My religion has nothing to do with the Paranormal. But because I was interested in the possibility of the existence of Ghosts I became a Paranormal Investigator for over 5 years. I wanted to find out for myself.

What did I discover? There definitely is a reality out there that we dont understand. But I havent seen evidence that points to the fact that spirits of deceased people are out there. I've photographed alot of strange things but nothing identified itself as a spirit.

I believe in the paranormal but I do not believe that they are the spirits of the dead. I believe that these things messing with people and performing twisted strange deeds are demons. I believe that they are there to cause confusion so people will question Heaven, Hell, and the existence of God and Satan. Satan doesn't care if you believe in him or not he just wants to not to believe in God and if he gets you questioning then you have a better chance of not believing. "Ghosts" are literal demons.

They shouldn't because when ANYONE dies, their spirit either goes to heaven or hell. The only "ghost" that I believe in is the HOLY GHOST, which is the 3rd part of GOD.

Yes but ghosts are not loved ones or people we may have known. the bible calls them familiar spirits, These are demonic spirits that take on identities of people who have passed on.

(2Kings 21:6) And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times and used fortune-tellers. And he dealt with familiar spirits and wizards. He worked much wickedness in the sight of Jehovah, to provoke Him to anger.
