My closest female friend kept on burping over the phone while talking to me because apparently she has gas. So I told her it's pretty rude and she got upset. So she hanged up the phone. So after 3 mins she phone back and upset asking how come other people don't react like I do. She was crying a bit (drama again) so I told her I find it rude, it may not be for them but it's rude for me. Then she hanged up on me again? Is she rude? Is her action justifiable? Did I do anything wrong? What do you think guys?

Yeah, I did tell her to held her phone away from her mouth and at least, it would be a quite acceptable to me. But hey, she hanged up on me. Should I phone her back? So what is the best thing to do?

She got offended by you calling her rude. Sure you said that burping is rude, but she took it as your calling HER rude (not her actions).
Girls get gas just like guys and since she probably feels the way you do.. that you guys are close.. so that you wouldnt mind. Its not like she was burping to intentionally get you mad... she might not have been feeling well.
IF you didnt like it and as you said thought it was rude, you should of asked her if shes okay since she keeps doing it. Then if there isnt anything you can do just get off the phone with her and call her back another time when shes not doing something that peeves you off so much.

Well it depends, if she's laughing about it when she's doing it then, O.k it's kind of funny. But if she is having a real problem she shouldn't be on the phone like that, she should be trying to stop them. Maybe look up how on the Internet..lol
But if I was talking to a chick friend of mine and she kept that up, I'd let her go and tell her to call me later, I would probably make up some reason why I had to let her go (off the phone) though.
I guess you found out the hard way that there very sensitive about some things.
I don't think you did anything " wrong" but you probably should've handled it a little different and not been so blunt with her.

Hey maybe she grew up with a lot of bros like i did in which case it's acceptable. I have to say for a guy you're being a sissy i mean honestly guys do it all the time is it so wrong for a girl to every once in awhile??? As for her hanging up if you're being rude who wants to take your crap!!! I'd do the same thing maybe tell her next time keep it AWAY from the phone so it's not so loud but as for being rude just check out her background if she seriously isn't around a lot of guys then she's rude but if she grew up with a guy family cut her some slack.

Well, maybe it was the way you told her how you found her actions to be rude? I always found sugar-coating what you are trying to say (especially when it could affect her self-esteem) really helps. For example, if she's been gaining a lot weight, i'd invite her to go with me for gym sessions, etc.
I don't think her actions are justifiable, but hey, we're never always logical or rational all the time, right?

I guess it depends on the person. I do not think it's a gender issue. My boyfriend rarely burps or farts in front of me but he likes when I do it; he says it's cute. He also likes having farting and burping contest with his boss (female). I personally don't like someone burping or farting (because it stinks), but I don't think it's "unladylike." Ladies, like men, are human and gotta do what they gotta do. But to keep doing it when you obviously didn't like it *was* rude. She probably cried because she was embarrassed. Maybe you shouldn't have told her it was rude per se, but that you felt dissed when she kept doing it after you told her to stop. It all depends on how you address it. Good luck.

She might have been trying to get your attention in a very odd way, and when you said it was rude it embarrased her. But then again maybe she is just a rude person who thinks burping isn't wierd even tho it is unlady like.

Mike Hunt. I used to artwork for a employer the place between the sales reps got here in almost wetting himself with laughter. He were to make certain a customer, a Mr M Hunt yet he did no longer understand what his first call substitute into. The receptionist on the place of work greeted our rep and then began to attempt to music down Mr Hunt. It substitute into purely whilst she called to a colleague "has all people seen Mike Hunt?" that our rep lost it thoroughly!

She sounds embarrassed...oh well. Women shouldn't burp or fart in public anyway. Someone needed to tell her. She sounds like a child.
