What animal is that???

I know that the movie has been out a few months but i finally saw it...I am talking about Barnyard...now what animal is the one that is always hanging out with the chicken and trying to avoid eating it???

i vote freddy the ferret. just played the game im sure thats what he was. but what a ferret does on a farm i dont know thats what got me.
