For your information that was written 1500 years before the first Christian appeared on the face of the earth. Also did you bother to read the account of the Amalekites? When Israel left Egypt and headed out into the desert the Amalakites became terrorists and attacked Israel, by traveling along side them as they went through the desert and whenever anyone got bogged down, or strayed off they would rush out and kill them and then run. God vowed to Israel that when they were settled in the land they were to be utterly destroyed. God commissioned Saul to go and annilate them. Saul didn't do it and left a number of them to live. The result was that even Saul was finally killed by an Amalekite, and in the Book of Esther, Hamaan the man who sought to annaliate the Jewish people was a descendant of the very man that Saul let live. Even down to the time of Christ, Herod who killed all the babies under two years old was an Idemian, a descendant of the same line as the Amalekites. God knew what these people would do and because of their disobedience in getting rid of them they have been repeated attacked by these people thoroughtout their history.

Saul is given an opportunity as king to demonstrate his allegiance to the Lord by obedience in this assigned task.

The Amalekites were far from innocent. They were utterly deprved! What is more, they desired to destroy Israel (v 2 ), God's chosen people, the channel of His redemptive plans for all human kind ( Gen 12:1-3 ). The act of their total destruction was nesessitated by the gravity of their sin. Otherwise, some core remnant might rise to resume their hateful act toward God's people and plan.

Everyone will eventually be take by God in death - it is only matter of when. God is sovreign over life and reserves to take it whenwhen He will. All children who die before accountability are saved, so this act from God was not merciless.

Taken out of context that would seem so. But you have to do a little back ground on these people to see why God said that.
They had been their brothers, turned the nation over to be killed.
In other words betrayed them. When they tried to flee they brutally murdered them. Their women and children and everything they had.
Later followed them when they were leaving those tiried and weary and trailing behind they killed.
What he was saying was do to them what they have been doing to you for so long.
It is very similar today Islam gets concessions, Infidels get conquered. What they capture they keep, when they lose they complain to the UN.
when they conquered a holy place killed everyone. Burned down the temple and build a mosque. When turn about was fair play they let them keep the mosque. Muslims are the descendents of the almakites. They feel they can murder, torture and destoy.
But no one can do it to them. God didn't feel that way. He felt if they did it to you, you have a right to do it to them.
Should have read all the book not just one sentence.
No one in their right mind could justifty the Amalkites.

I think it is good that this is brought up by this person. It is very good as an excercise for Christians. We first of all know much more of the bible than he does, he just quotes from his hate the bible book, or the bible is a violent book jargon , mostly propogandised by those who have hidden sins to protect and are addicted to pleasure and so try to incriminate my Lord just to justify themsleves. .

God is Lord over all, not the other way around. These people were killing other people unjustly , but that is ok to a hypocrite like you but it is not OK for the Lord the Creator to kill and make alive? The dead belong to God and as do the living, resurrection belongs to him, forgivenss belongs to him and judgement as well.
Who are you to criticise God? All you can say is you do not believe in God or the bible, and so what?

Your post question is one of the most vile things written and I am sure it comes from a vile mind, that is self righteous.

Come to God or you will likewise be judged without mercy, cuteness and smallness of size did not save the babies physically, so neither will it save you.
So wake up to the reality of truth and justice of right and wrong.

Be glad and accept the mercy offered to you in Christ Jesus the lamb of God who came to save sinners.

behold both the kindess of God and the severity of God, who does not believe in the rights of man apart from obedience to His commands and rightly so.

You are decieved and simply project your wayward notions of right and wrong derived from sinners.

Learn from God, become foolish in your own eyes , so that you may become wise. Or else remain wise in your own eyes and remain foolish.

I Samuel 15:3 is about the Lord taking revenge on the Amalekites for what they did when they waylaid the Israelites when they came up out of Egypt. Did you read the verse above it when it said this? The Bible says that God will bless those who bless us and curse those who curse us. This is here for a reason. Perhaps those who enjoy cursing Christians should think twice before doing it again.

First, God is sovereign, all are His creation and He can do with whom whatever He wishes.
Second, refer back to Ex. 17:8, the Amalakites attacked Israel without provocation and what was worse, attacked the rear, killing the weak and the feeble. Joshua defeated them then, and Saul was called to finish the job. You don't mess with God's people and live.

You have such an ignorant and closed mind if you think that God wants us to kill for him. The text you used was taken out of context. Read the whole story.

Remember the Commandment "Thou shalt not Kill"?
