A small turtledove that was carved by his great-grandfather out of whale-bone. There's two of them (he still has the other one), kinda like in the Christmas song, and I was wondering, do turtledoves symbolize anything?

Watch the movie Home Alone 2. The movie says that as long as each person possesses their turtledove, they'll always be friends (or something like that.)
