Let's say someone goes crazy. Not pretend crazy, but a for real lunatic. They kill people in God's name. Thay really believe that God has told them to do this. (I know this has happened so many times throughout history.) I mean, without a doubt they think they are doing good, because it's what God wants. Do these people still go to hell? I know God is the only judge, but what do you think happens to these tortured souls?

Whoa Tam Tam, there are many other diseases aside from someone being bi polar that could affect logical thinking. I never said I was a Christian, and lastly, if I could ask God this question, and hear a response, how many of you would put me in the same category with these people? My guess is most of you!

You hit the nail on the head - "God" is the only judge. The RC church holds that if a person is truly insane and, therefore, not able to morally judge right from wrong, they cannot be held accountable for the 'sin' they commit, even if they are held accountable for the crime...

I personally believe in reincarnation, and do not believe in 'hell' or even 'heaven' as most think of it. To be truly insane is to be outside of the paradimes of normal humanity and that soul will learn, upon death, of what was done and, perhaps, the reason for it. We cannot know or understand the vastness of The One, and we shouldn't even try.

"Honest belief" does not help one go to heaven, when one is "honestly believing" a lie.

Jesus actually predicted this would happen, and described the people doing it: "they will do this because they have known neither the Father nor me."

Without Jesus, we're all toast.

The tortured soul needs Jesus also, and still has the option to listen or not to listen. There is a check and balances in place with the Scriptures, and a command to test any spirits that come to us. "Spiritual Peer Pressure" or "Spiritual Subversion" arguements will get a person absolutely NOWHERE with God.

Good question. I guess it would depend on your God. Many holy books say different things about killing in the name of God. I would like to think that the person would be sent back to Earth and would have to make up for his wrong doings in another life before getting into heaven...but I don't really know...

Worm food, how pathetic. Yes, your body stays in the grave but your soul goes on to heaven. God knows these people are truly sick and I believe he forgives them because they don't really know what they are doing. Watch the "Touched by an Angel" reruns on the Hallmark Channel. They are very comforting and show a lot of different types of cases.

Yes, I think they would go to hell even though I'm not 100% sure.

Killing in God's name is absolutely absurd and how can someone feel like that's what God would want? God wants peace on this earth and God wouldn't want people killing people.

Is their evil intent in their heart when they commit these murders? If a mental disorder truly clouds their judgement and no evil was intended then I'm sure God would understand.

When they die these marks wont be on their soul and if they truly are wishing to enter Heavens Gates then their heart will guide them.

A sin is a sin.
In God's eyes, a lie is the same as murder.
If they ask forgiveness for their sins and repent, they could still make it into Heaven but that is God's decision.

This is What I know!!! No thinking about it!!!

Each morning upon rising, and each evening before sleeping, gives thanks for the life within you and for all life, for the good things the Creator has given you and for the opportunity to grow a little more each day. Consider your thoughts and actions of the past day and seek for the courage and strength to be a better person. Seek for the things that will benefit others (everyone).

2. Respect. Respect means "To feel or show honor or esteem for someone or something; to consider the well being of, or to treat someone or something with deference or courtesy". Showing respect is a basic law of life.

3. Once a council has decided something in unity, respect demands that no one speak secretly against what has been decided. If the council has made an error, that error will become apparent to everyone in its own time.

4. Be truthful at all times, and under all conditions.

5. Always treat your guests with honor and consideration. Give of your best food, your best blankets, the best part of your house, and your best service to your guests.

6. The hurt of one is the hurt of all; the honor of one is the honor of all.

7. Receive strangers and outsiders with a loving heart and as members of the human family.

8. All the races and tribes in the world are like the different colored flowers of one meadow. All are beautiful. As children of the Creator they must all be respected.

9. To serve others, to be of some use to family, community, nation, and the world is one of the main purposes for which human beings have been created. Do not fill yourself with your own affairs and forget you’re most important talks. True happiness comes only to those who dedicate their lives to the service of others.

10. Observe moderation and balance in all things.

11. Know those things that lead to your well-being and those things that lead to your destruction.

12. Listen to and follow the guidance given to your heart. Expect guidance to come in many forms; in prayer, in dreams, in times of quiet solitude, and in the words and deeds of wise Elders and friends.

Wahoo!!!

People who "hear" god telling them to do ANYTHING are bi-polar , meaning they have missing or screwed up chemicals in their brains. They are a product of that same "god".

I think you need to direct this question to your "god".
