Wow has this army changed or what.
My AIT was lumped in with my basic 5 1/2 months long, and we were lucky to get to go to the rec room once every few weeks.
A writing notepad, stamps, letters, a check card and a Bible, and youll be fine.
And dream, he already finished basic, the rest is nothing but school for the support MoS. Piece of cake from here on out ... so Ive heard

All of your Basic Issue items, of course. Also, bring a portable MP3 player (get a cheap one just in case not everyone in the barraks is as honorable as they should be). A good lock is always a good idea. The key thing is that there is not much which you could bring which you cannot get at the PX. The most important thing you can bring is a high degree of motivation and a resolve that you will not quit until you graduate. Good luck!

Just bring yourself. AIT is Advanced individual traing, traing for your assigned MOS. After you graduate, you will be assigned a permanent duty station and begin work for the army.
