Wash it less often, maybe only 3 times a week. This has the added advantage of speeding up your shower.

For the love of whatever you find holy don't blow dry it.

Put some mousse in your hair when you dry it, but not too much. Put some on your palms, and then go crazy getting it all the way in to your hair so you don't just glop down the top. Anything will be fine for that.

Having poofy hair can be fun and cool, and if it always stayed down, you'd want poof. Keep that in mind.

For me, I have the same problem. I let my hair dry naturally, because I find that blow dryers (even when pointed from root to tip) aggravates the problem. I use a product that I buy called "Liquid Glass." I buy it at Rites Aid. It comes in a clear cone shaped bottle. A little bit goes a long way. Then, I let my hair dry. Then I use a straightening iron on my hair. Some times I make my hair all the way straight, but if I am rushed, I just run it through my hair to calm down my curls and smooth the follicles of my hair so they lay down flat. So I still have curls left, but they are tamed down.

I find that using hairspray, mousse, or gel, gets my hair frizzy at the slightest amount of moisture in the atmosphere, so I avoid these products.

hope this helps.

hi start with a hot oil treatment go to www.naturalbeautysoaps.net/touchet/ then look up hair products . their hot oil treatment is made with pure jojoba oil... which is molecularly very close to sebum ( hairs natural oils ) plus it adds shine. when you start with good moisture at the roots and go out then your hair will be in better shape to handle ...serums and glazes that smooth down and reduce frizzy poof. Some times the hot oil treatments are enough to calm the frizz for a few days even with daily shampoo .

I somewhat have long curly/wavy hair that gets VERY poofy, and to end the poofyness, i take advantage of mousse. the style i take advantage of is Pantene style Curl-Defining mousse. that's like 3.50 a bottle. I placed it in mutually as my hair is moist, brush it, and enable it air dry. It does the activity ok for me. you probable dont % curls, yet Pantene has mousse for categories of hair, so in basic terms % whichever

You need to get a spray on shine serum. I use this on my daughters hair. Her hair just does it's own thing if I don't use it. You can get it at Wal-Mart and it only cost like $3.00. I really like using it on her hair. I hope this works for you.
