Yes; the practice test is like the one in the office. But it only predeicts your "AFQT." That's the score that'll qualify you to join. There are several other areas that'll show where your other apptitudes lie, they'll determine what jobs you qualify for. Plus the ASVAB test is a lot longer.
If you got a 90, don't sweat it. You'll do fine. Typically the smarter the individual the more critical of one's self. I've had guys and girls say they're not sure if they did too well and get better than 80, and guys say they nailed it and get less than 20.
You're good, go take the test.

The test you took was the CAST test and yes it is on the easy side but no too much different from the ASVAB which is an APTITUDE test with answers designed to find your NICHE so to speak .Then from your raw score they will break it down to scores that help them help you pick an MOS that fits your personality or in most cases YOUR POCKETBOOK ! I chose the shortest AIT with the HIGHEST bonus and got 4 years of climbing phone poles - after the bonus is spent you still get to do that job for 3 yrs and 364 days -lol So choose wisely and buy or check out from the library an ASVAB study guide and you won't have any trouble

Go to a book store or to your local library and get a book called the ASVAB. It is a study guide to taking the military exam. There are sample tests etc. All of this will help prepare you for the exam. It is a volatile time to be in the military. Good luck to you in your decision. If possible, try to stick to an administrative MOS and the Navy or Air Force.

If you got a 90 you have nothing to worry about. My recruiter said you generally do better on the actual test. Although I scored about 10 points lower on the real test which I think was because I knew I didnt need a high score and I was taking it at 5am.

The standards are very low, if you did well that's good, they just want to avoid getting people who can't read and write. As you go further into the system you go to schools and have to take tests etc that require the ability to understand written words and as simple as that may seem to you, there are people out there who literally can't read and understand written words and instructions and they become useless to the Army.

The practice test only covers 4 sections. The actual test has 9 sections.

If you're talking about the ASVAB then yes they are similar but the real thing is a lot longer and has more parts to it. Your score will go down slightly.
