I know what you mean - is it all relative to where you are in your life, peer group, etc etc...
I have thought I have met the love of my life many times over the last 15 years. And have had a series of long term relationships - each ending in disaster after 3 years.
I am now married - and was married - after only being with my *now* wife for only 1 short year. We have been together nearly 5 now, 2 of those as a married couple, and yes - we are happy and I feel she is the love of my life.
My advice is just follow your heart. If you think this is the love of your life then love it (him/her).. if you turn out to be wrong - deal with the pain and move on... thats what love and living is all about.
Best of luck!

Yes I think I certainly have met the love of my life - my husband is not what I thought I would spend the rest of my life (older, has 4 children) but I just fell in love and 12 years later I feel like he is the perfect completion to my life

I've met the love of my life many different times. It can happen more than once, ya know? So yeah, it's all relative.

Yes, I do feel I have met the love of my life because no matter what we have been through we have always ended up together. We have been through so much-alot of it was due to our young age. However, I KNOW that no one else can make me feel the way that he does and I know no one could break us apart. Besides, a psychic told me and she told me exactly how I felt and that he was my soulmate-And I swear I told her nothing but my name.

i aint qualified for this, but this is wat i think:
some say you'd realize that someone is the love of ur life after 20 years of marriage.. funny thinkin, eh? (since u must decide ur marriage partner a long way before that..) but i guess love is a decision u make...
before marriage, u outta be sure urself that u're willin to love this other person forever.. u choose the love of ur life..
when u're making ur vow on the marriage altar, u're making a conscious decision to commit urself to the other person FOR LIFE.. a choice u made.. it outta be the same for the other person.. if u both stick to ur vows, im guessin u'll realize that the other person IS the love of ur life after all..
