Right! The word rapture isn't even in the bible.

It is a FALSE doctrine that cannot be proven from scripture in which millions erroneously believe in!

They claim that Christ will rapture away the church- or Christians, BEFORE the tribulation or BEAST SYSTEM period!

They claim that the rapture consists of those DEAD-IN-CHRIST
rising first out of their graves and then those that are alive will then be caught up with them and then both groups "together" will meet the Lord in the clouds or in the air and be with him forever more!

Eventhough, this false theory can very easily be disproven from several places in the Bible, I'll just use a passage from Revelation THAT COMPLETELY DESTROYS this theory!

But first let me explain something- Notice that the rapture, as is being taught, consists of a RESURRECTION- a raising of the dead! AND ALSO that supposedly it takes place BEFORE the tribulation or the beast system, which are actually one and the same event!

And yet, the book of Revelation reveals to us that some of those IN THE FIRST RESURRECTION, consist of those WHO REFUSED TO WORSHIP THE BEAST AND HIS IMAGE AND REFUSED TO TAKE HIS MARK!

REMEMBER, this is the FIRST RESURRECTION! No other resurrection aside from Christs, can take place BEFORE this one, eventhough the rapture theorists falsley attemp to give claim to one prior to this one.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them, and the souls of those who had been beheaded on account of the testimony of Jesus, and on account of the word of God, and those who had not worshipped the Beast or his image, and they did not receive the mark on their forehead or on their hand. And they came to life and reigned with Christ for the thousand years.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were finished. This is THE FIRST RESURRECTION.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that has part in THE FIRST RESURRECTION. Over these the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him for a thousand years

So you see, we see that those in the FIRST resurrection (there can be NO OTHER prior to this one) actually do go thru the tribulation or beast system! The rapture is really just a fairy-tale!

-The rapture is a fairly recent belief that Christians will be evacuated from Earth: A) Before the Great Tribulation -Pre-Tribs B) Half way through Tribulation -Mid-Tribs C) After Tribulation -Post-Tribs. The word isn't in the Bible because it isn't a Biblical doctrine. If you read the Bible very closely -especially end time events that will occur- and study it you will find the answers you seek. I would also recommend a book called Rapture: Prophecy or Heresy. At the end of this book is a challenge to use as many verses of Scripture -or more- to prove the author wrong. If you can do it -which you won't be able to, but try- you will receive a $10,000 reward from the publishers.

The rapture is Christ coming in the air to remove His church before the seven years of tribulation. There are some who believe it comes at mid-trib, some, post-trib, but I believe it is very Biblical to believe in the pre-trib rapture. It makes the most sense and there are numerous verses that support this. The word "rapture" is of latin origin, and that is why you will not find it in the 'Bible. In I Thess.4:!7, the term used is "caught up", the Greek for that is:

harpazō
har-pad'-zo
From a derivative of G138; to seize (in various applications): - catch (away, up), pluck, pull, take (by force).

We get the word harpoon from this. Two people were raptured in the Old Testament, Enoch and Elijah.

the rapture was invented to suport dispensationalism. this line of false theology says that GOD had a plan for the jews, and the christians showed up, so GOD decided that at the right time the christians would be raptured so HE could get back to HIS covenant with the jews.it is not BIBLICAL, and unfortunately too many people don't know what the BIBLE has to say about the second coming of CHRIST,, for the LORD shall come and NOT keep silent, HE shall descend with a shout , with the voice of the arch angel and with the trump of GOD.. also read 1 thessolonians 4 about HIS coming.

before each and everything, the observe "rapture" is got here upon contained in the Bible, once you've the Latin Vulgate produced by technique of Jerome contained in the early 400s. The Vulgate develop into the significant Bible of the medieval Western Church till the Reformation. It keeps to in the present day because the well-known Latin translation of the Roman Catholic Church. yet, as we will see later, it develop into Protestants who presented the observe "rapture" into the English language from the Latin raeptius. It develop into Jerome?s Vulgate that translated the unique Greek verb harpaz? used by technique of Paul, less than the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, in a million Thessalonians 4:17, it is in many cases translated into English with the word "stuck up." The most advantageous Greek Lexicon says that harpaz? skill "take carry of, grab, i.e., take suddenly and vehemently." it is the same that technique of the Latin observe rapio "to snatch, take carry of, tear away." it is going to no longer be astounding to each person, that an English observe develop into advanced from the Latin which we use in the present day time-honored as "rapture."at the same time as that is technically real that the observe rapture does no longer seem contained in the English Bible, it does, even with the truth that, seem contained in the Latin Vulgate translation of the Bible. honestly the idea of a rapture looks many cases contained in the Bible. Translators of the Bible into English would were justified had they translated "stuck up" in a million Thessalonians 4:17 with the English observe "rapture." additionally they'd have translated it by technique of the observe take carry of. shall we merely as actual call the rapture "the finished take carry of."The observe rapture develop into used contained in the English language a minimum of a few hundred years earlier J. N. Darby got here alongside .The Greek observe harpaz? is used fourteen cases contained in the hot testomony. as well to at least a million Thessalonians 4:17, that is used a minimum of three more beneficial cases of one being raptured to heaven (2 Cor. 12:2, 4; Rev. 12:5). So there isn't any favor to get disenchanted over using the Latin depending, English observe "rapture." that is a biblical observe.

The rapture is the snatching away. Strange but the word bible isn't found in the bible either.
The true believers are not going to be part of God's wrath.

Because there is no rapture. (Matthew 24:21-22) 21 for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. 22 In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.

If they were raptured out what difference would it make?
He could take as long as he wanted.
We are entering the great tribulation. the wicked are now killing each other off the earth read Psalms 37:9,10,11

the word rapture is a derrivitive of the latin word raptizzo meaning caught up, or snatched up,

1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

so yes the word rapture is in the bible, but not english..

on a side note, the words ressurection/ressurect and rapture are interchangeable

Definition: The belief that faithful Christians will be bodily caught up from the earth, suddenly taken out of the world, to be united with the Lord “in the air.” The word “rapture” is understood by some persons, but not by all, to be the meaning of 1 Thessalonians 4:17. The word “rapture” does not occur in the inspired Scriptures.

Will Christ appear visibly on a cloud and then take away faithful Christians into the heavens while the world looks on?

Did Jesus say whether the world would see him again with their physical eyes?

John 14:19, RS: “Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more, but you [his faithful disciples] will see me; because I live, you will live also.” (Italics added.) (Compare 1 Timothy 6:16.)

What is the meaning of the Lord’s ‘descending from heaven’?

Could the Lord “descend from heaven,” as stated at 1 Thessalonians 4:16, without being visible to physical eyes? In the days of ancient Sodom and Gomorrah, Jehovah said that he was going to “go down to see” what the people were doing. (Gen. 18:21, RS) But when Jehovah made that inspection, no human saw him, although they did see the angelic representatives that he sent. (John 1:18) Similarly, without having to return in the flesh, Jesus could turn his attention to his faithful followers on earth to reward them.

In what sense, then, will humans “see” the Lord “coming in a cloud”?

Jesus foretold: “Then they will see the Son of man [Jesus Christ] coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” (Luke 21:27, RS) In no way does this statement or similar ones in other texts contradict what Jesus said as recorded at John 14:19. Consider: At Mount Sinai, what occurred when God ‘came to the people in a thick cloud,’ as stated at Exodus 19:9? (RS) God was invisibly present; the people of Israel saw visible evidence of his presence, but none of them actually saw God with their eyes. So, too, when Jesus said that he would come “in a cloud,” he must have meant that he would be invisible to human eyes but that humans would be aware of his presence. They would “see” him with their mental eyes, discerning the fact that he was present. (For further comments, see the main heading “Return of Christ.”)

Is it possible for Christians to be taken to heaven with their physical bodies?

1 Cor. 15:50, RS: “I tell you this, brethren: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.”

it clearly states: one will be taken and one will be left. within Christianity there are different beleifs in when the rapture will take place... pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation, or post tribulation. I like to think it will be pre-trib but sort of feel it will be mid-trib. you must read about rapture on net or better yet go to a local Christian church and learn about it. Baptist, church, a calvary chapel would be great, a vineyard christian fellowship... there are many.

..... and to those leaving messages it is not true... you are 100% wrong. Christianity is very real. Christ died for ALL men and all men have evil within them... the ones who do not make it into heaven (it is not because of their evil ways... it is because they shunned Christs forgiveness for them by His dying on the cross for their sin. If you reject Christ... He will reject you beacuse He states in the bible He gives you every opportunity to find Him. "Seek and you WILL find.".... thats a promise.
