You may use the Copy and Paste commands on the Edit menu just like on a Windows computer.

The keyboard shortcuts are similar except, instead of using Ctrl, use the apple with a bite out of it, sometimes called the option key or open apple key. Ctrl + C or Apple + C is Copy and Ctrl + V or Apple + V is Paste.

Instead of 'Control-C' and 'Control-V' on a Windows machine, you simply 'Command-C' for copy, and 'Command-V' for paste on a Mac.

You can either go to the 'Edit' Menu and select copy or paste from there. Or you can press cmd(apple)+c and cmd(apple)+v

You can use Apple-C for Copy and Apple-V for Paste. Also Apple-X is cut and Apple-Z is undo and Apple-Y is redo.
