Any idea why the video would be scrambled but the audio would work? Any ideas how to fix this problem?

The video is a converted mp4 file. I converted it in order to play on quicktime. The audio works perfectly fine!

1. Open Device Manager.
start>>run>>devmgmt.msc
2. Double-click IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers to display the list of controllers and channels.

3. Right-click the icon for the channel to which the device is connected, select Properties, and then click the Advanced Settings tab.

4. In the Current Transfer Mode drop-down box, select DMA if Available if the current setting is "PIO Only."
If the drop-down box already shows "DMA if Available" but the current transfer mode is PIO, then the user must toggle the settings. That is:

a) Change the selection from "DMA if available" to PIO only, and click OK.

b) Then repeat the steps above to change the selection to DMA if Available.

which format is the video that you're trying to play? is it compatible with Quicktime?
is your computer compatible to play that video format?
maybe your QT has to be updated
how much memory does your computer have? can it handle playing videos?
can you play videos on other video / media players? (such as Windows Media Player? or RealTime Player?
