I used to make a bar cookie every Christmas and can't find the recipe. Does anyone have this one? It is a chocolate chip cookie square using white sugar, no brown sugar. I sliced gumdrop spearmint leaves in half and placed them around a maraschino cherry to resemble holly. Each individual piece had its own leaves and cherry. I can't find the full recipe to get the sugar and butter quantities right. The family is asking for it for Christmas!

Yikes- I hope your family isn't going to riot if they don't get the exact same ones!! Do you even know how many choc chip cookie recipes DON'T have brown sugar in them??? Like, none... Unless you can remember who gave you the recipe to begin with (or you find it lurking in under the pens and pencils in that famous kitchen drawer we all have.. ;P) I would suggest trying other choc chip bar recipes (can you try them out on the sly??? Like you've got tons of time, I'm sure...) until you find a similar one (sometimes, lacking br sugar I've simply replaced it with white sugar, cup for cup) and then decorate them as you always did. Sorry this isn't much help- Good Luck!
