You don't, because they are the same. JPEG stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group, but on Windows, file extensions are typically 3 letters long. This results in the use of *.jpeg and both *.jpg to conform to the 3 letters tradition.

Jpeg and jpg are the same thing pretty much, jpg is just the most commonly used file extension of jpeg.

Heya,
They are both actually the same format, however just a different naming convention (as far as I know). You can just change the .jpg to .jpeg and vice versa (just by changing the extension).

edit your JPEG file in a picture editing program (PAINT/adobe) and in FILE>SAVE AS there a list of picture file extension. select which you prefer
