nothing you can do. it doesnt matter anyway.
they are probably hearing something else, though. I cant imagine they could hear that from the room below you.

Do you live in an older building? The floors must not be very well insulated. It's not really all that surprising. the people who live below someone can pretty much hear everything that the person above them does. It's pretty common. Carpeting helps, but who wants a carpeted bathroom? I'd ask the landlord to put down some kind of well cushioned flooring. If they say no, I'd go to a home improvement store with the problem- (you don't have to get too specific, here) and see what they have that might help. There might be some kind of moveable flooring you could install.

I don't know what to tell you. Just try to pee quietly, I guess. Or find a way to insulate your floors better. Also, maybe you could try to turn on some music when you pee..lol..and put the cd player on the floor. It might be weird, but then they wouldn't hear you pee.

Run the shower while you pee. It will make a louder noise. It is probably time to move to a nicer(more soundproof) building.

I don't really think there is much you can do....I had the same problem with my upstairs neighbor, but you didn't design the building, so unless you soundproof the floor, they have to deal with it...it's not like you are trying to annoy them!

well...sound travels 20% faster through water and 10% faster through solids...without distortion...pipes are a great conductor of sound...don't be shocked about the sound...be shocked this whole thing came up in conversation.
