Only if you were like in a rescue helicopter or plane and picked up a ring signal. But just trying to find where someone is calling you from, no. That's why 9-1-1 tells you they can't locate a cell users address yet, so it's good to have a land line.

If you had the technology you would simply triangulate the location from the positioning of reciving stations thus giving an approximate location of the transmitting signal.

If you go to http://www.411.com and do a reverse phone search, it gives the location that cell phones are based. BUT, if someone say lives in one town and their cell phone provider is in a different, it only lists the town that the provider is in.
