certainly...highlight the list, go to the toolbar > Table and scroll down to sort.

If you know what alphabetical order is then it is possible to put a list in alphabetical order. I don't think that Microsoft Word will do it for you, your gonna need to know the alphabet and put them in order yourself. I know it's gonna be a tough one since computers damn near do all the other work for you but I have faith that you can do it.

you could enter the text in excel and then 'Sort by Alphabetical Order' and then copy and paste into word. Sometimes when you have long lists it's too time consuming to put them in Alpabetical order yourself...

insert a table (TABLE>INSERT TABLE)in your document where you may enter you lists
TABLE>SORT
