If I get a DivX compatible DVD player will it play movies that I just save to a blank cd? I'm not talking about burning these to a blank dvd like burning a movie. I mean will it play movies that I save to a regular blank cd?

If the movie files are Divx AVI files, then you can burn them to a CD-R and watch them on your Divx DVD player. If the movie files are in other format, it won't work.
