NO, he was not unique. Take a look at today's religious leaders! Take a look at Joseph Smith, the Mormon (LDS) prophet! They used their power over their followers often to do the unthinkable, and usually go against their own preachings. In other words, there was/is one law for the prophet/leader, and another for the followers........
This is Muhammad's case:
MARIA AL-QABTIYYA was only 9 years old when she was send to Muhammad as maid/concubine. The other women were a bit older at the time they joined his life.
Muhammad had/owned or married 22 Women that we know of:
Muhammad’s 16 Wives:
1. Khadija
2. Sawda
3. Aesha
4. Omm Salama
5. Halsa
6. Zaynab (of Jahsh)
7. Jowayriyi
8. Omm Habiba
9. Safiya
10. Maymuna (of Hareth)
11. Fatema
12. Hend
13. Asma (of Saba)
14. Zaynab (of Khozayma)
15. Habla
16. Asma (of Noman)
Muhammad’s 2 concubines/slaves:
Maria (the Christian was only a child of 9 years old at the time she was given to Muhammad)
Rayhana
Muhammad’s 4 devoted followers who who "gave" themselves to satisfy Muhammad's sexual desires. They were:
Omm Sharik
Maymuna
Zaynab (a third one)
Khawla
Muhammad’s was involved with at least 22 women. Although in the Quran he would limit his followers to having four wives, he himself took more than four wives and many concubines. The question of the number of women with whom Muhammad was involved either as wives, concubines or devotees was made a point of contention by the Jews in Muhammad's day. This means that Muhammad sinned against the very Koran he claimed to reveal.

Have you ever gone beyond the rhetoric of conservative islamophobes and looked for some real facts on Muhammad? I'm no Muslim (not even after reading a biography of Muhammad and much of the Qur'an), but Muhammad was easily a hero. Read Karen Armstrong's Muhammad: A Biography of the Prophet or her newer book (which I haven't gotten to yet), it's fair, neither apologist nor attacking...

Muhammad's character was not unique.
The spirit of anti-christ has been around since the Gospels were written.

He was the average man.
If he was a super man, NO ONE can follow his example.
