He was born in Ward 1955 in 1988. The Sister-in-Charge was so elated about the miraclously quick delivery that she mistakenly wrote the Ward number in the space marked Year of Birth.

The typewriter used was quite old and parts of the figure 8 have fallen off due to overuse. So when typing 1988, the print came out as 1955.

It's only 1973? Can't be a leap year cause 1955 isn't divisible by 4 leaving a whole number as total. 1955 divided by 4 = 488.75

Well, if TODAY, 18 Dec was his birthday, the day he was born WASN'T 29 Feb, which would be a leap year...so I don't know...
