Faith Is.......?

Question

I'm writing verse for a song on faith called Faith Is, what do you think?

Faith is.....not what i need to see cause this is not physical
Faith is....not what i feel man i don't need to see a miracle
Faith is.... If YOU said it, i believe it, no reason to doubt God that why i receive it. that's right.
I've got the word, it's an essential part of every day life
i've stopped wondering how in the world could i ever stay right
such matters of life and death are such inevitable surcumstances
get down with Christ, cause after life there are no second chances
i'm walking by faith and not by sight, so nothing worries me
i'm talking, walking according to divince autority
faith like the grain of a mustard seed will drop mountains
cause you can do anything you believe, so stop doubting
i've had my share of pains and times of uncertainty, was certainly learning to trust God during adversity
Only He can save me from going the wrong way
and it's not that i've arrived, but i've come from such a long way........

so I believe it when You tell me that You will never forsake me
cause I need You in my life and I want to live for You daily
I believe that Christ died on the cross for my sins, yes I believe it
And yes I receive it cause…….

I know it sounds different from hearing the complete song with all the works but I just wanted to know what you thought of the written verse whether you believe in a “God” or not.

Jesus is my Lord brother , but I think your song does not explain faith well enough. We should be more cautious that we do not give unbelievers false ideas about the meaning and definition of faith, as far as we can help it. Faith is like reason that has entered the Garden of Eden, it is reason in full blossom, it is not make believe. Faith is based on reasons, there are reasons why you believe. You do not just believe anything anybody tells you. There are reasons why so many people believe Jesus, they find Him more persuasive than the pervert next door trying to tell me that right is wrong, and wrong is right! The gospel agrees with our souls, our human nature, our reasoning and unshakeable feelings about morality and many others things.
So I would recommend you think much more deeply about faith and trusting in God before you complete any songs. But I like your spirit and encouraging message. Keep trying and perfecting your ideas, because you will never be done and it is normal to fall short early on.
Remember though, we do not have faith in faith, but in a person, the Lord Jesus and in reliable witnesses and the powerful persuasion of His words. Faith is the goal of reason, the perfection of reason or thought. We have faith in the One our reason leads us to, beyond words.
