Is it still under factory warranty? This will depend on miles and date purchased new. If so, take it to the dealer and have them see if they can get it to work. If it's out of warranty, it will cost you to have them do it, probably an hour flat-rate (say about $70 to $100 depending on your location), maybe just a half-hour. If you have an extended warranty, it really depends on what kind of contract and what company it is through as to how much it might cost you, if any.

It may have lost programming, there might be an update they can load into it, or there might be something else they can do to fix it right there. It may also require a replacement.

Worst case, it will need to be replaced, it will not be under warranty and you don't have extended warranty or have a cheap extended warranty that won't cover it. It will need replacing and will cost you in the $500 range parts and labor.

Not really enough info. such as factory changer or add on? year model?Does the radio still work? In the newer gm trucks, the radio locks up when the battery fails. You may have to input the code in the radio to unlock it. If the changer is something you added, I would check all fuses, and wiring. Contact a dealer and see if the factory radio has to be reprogrammed to an add on cd changer
