Yes they will, just like plucking eyebrows or if you lose an eyelash.

Yes, they'll grow back of course. It's more interesting a question of what happens if you cut the whiskers. I understand that from end to end of the whiskers that the cat can measure its own body width. Touch a cat's whiskers and they dont like it much. Apparently, they are extremely sensitive. Any real studies done on them? Curious!

They do grow back. When my daughter was little, she cut the whiskers off her cat. It made her off balance like a person with an inner ear problem. But it wasn't long before the whiskers were back and the cat was once more balanced.

Yes, your cat's whiskers would grow back, but please don't do this to your kitty because its cruel. Cats need their whiskers, without them, they are unable to gauge how narrow or how wide an opening is. Your cat may get stuck in a tight space because he doesn't know how much room he has. Or, if your cat is an outdoor cat, he will not know where he can hide if he gets chased by a dog, again, because he cannot gauge width without his whiskers.

Cats whiskers are organs of sense and should not be cut or removed. The sites below gives some indication why.

Yes they will grow back, slowly. Ever notice you find a whisker here n there around the house? Like any hair it will grow back. But they are more like our eyebrow hairs, slower and thicker growing.
To cut them will make a cat blind in the dark as they use them to judge width of items to know if their body will fit or not.

yes, they will grow back but do not cut them. It is considered an animal curelty and you could be reported and arrested and fined. Cats use their whiskers as sensors. Why would you want to cut them anyway, they naturally fall out and regrow one at a time. Never cut them off.

Whiskers are not meant to be cut, because they are used for direction, in the dark. However, I imagine they would grow back.

Kind of ..... I accidentally trimmed one side of Poppy's whiskers.
They aren't growing longer because what I trimmed were fully grown whiskers. Those won't grow longer; they'll eventually grow out and be replaced with new ones.
So my poor girl has a long road ahead of her! She's fine though. You'd never know anything happened.

that is your cats sensors and shows him ways to get in and out of tight places. if you ever did this the equilibriam would be bad off balance and the most cruel thing u could do. cats use thier whiskers for many things. watch thier whiskers when they are sad mad or happy. they give u clues

Yes they do. Whiskers fall out, are damaged by everyday activities and sometimes during grooming. Happens all the time
