I am a nurse. The time it takes for trans dermal medication is contingent among some factors. One, the thickness of your skin. The thicker it is the longer it will take. Secondly, how much you sweat. Sweating can alter the absorption rate. And thirdly, how well the patch is attached. It any part of the patch has lifted or loosens you will not be getting the full dose. Heat will actually quicken the absorption rate. I do not recommend it though because the amount of drug in you body may be sooo increased an overdose can occur.
