What would motivate him to condemn everyone who doesn't believe in him? Pride? Vanity? Does he NEED everyone to believe in him, if he is God anyways?

I mean, who NEEDS someone to believe in them and if they don't then they send them to a firey pit of despair? That sounds more like Lucifer if you ask me.

You have a point there, only time will tell. I usually state the fact that I don't believe in hell, but I get all these thumbs-down from lousy conservative christians because I'm a heretic. Little do they know that they are on the naughty list.

Merry Christmas to all!

If you give me thumbs down, you are on the naughty list.

NO that is not Lucifer. Jesus is the only way people can get to heaven and not all people from all faiths get in. There are denominations out there that believe that Jesus isn't the son of God and then there's the Roman Catholics that worship Mary and believe that a priest can forgive them of their sins in which that's not true. So those people of those faiths won't make it to heaven. What you said about does he need everyone to believe in him before they can enter heaven then yes he does and that isn't Satan. I am very offended by this and you should get your facts straight before you go saying this kind of stuff. It will be upsetting to him to send some of his children to hell but those who don't believe and those who turn away from him he will have no choice but it doesn't mean that he is looking forward to it or he'll be happy about it.

That has been the biggest deception ever made by the Christian religions and defies what the Old Testament in the Book of Ezekiel 18:3-26 where God made His declaration that the one who sins is the one who dies. The righteousness of righteous will credited to him and wickedness of the wicked shall be charged against him. So, who needs Jesus then?
You are not wrong..He is LUCIFER, the Morning Star in Isaiah14:12-17. The Son of the Dawn (or young).

No more than He is proud that a ball is round. It is just a fact. As for you, this question is bugging you because you are spiritually unsatisfied and I hope you find the truth you are searching for but consider this: If there is a God and you are His creation - is it not His responsibility to make Himself known to you and answer your enquiries? If He didn't then He wouldn't be worth knowing - In short ask Him to show Himself to you and one way or another He will...

Bind (bind) my limbs with fear (fear)
Choke me with tears (tears)
I won't die for you

You've (you've) been here before (before)
And come back for more (more)
But not this time

You will never be strong enough
You will never be good enough
You were never conceived in love
You will not rise above

Somebody tell me what made us all believe you
I should have known all along it was all a lie
(Should have known it was all a lie)

Now (now) I know the truth (truth)
I'm through fearing you (you)
And I am free

You will never be strong enough
You will never be good enough
You were never conceived in love
You will not rise above

Somebody tell me what made us all believe you
I should have known all along it was a lie
(Should have known it was all a lie)

Somebody tell me what made us all believe you
I should have known all along it was all a lie
Somebody tell me what made us all believe you
I should have known it was all a lie

It's possible that Jesus was speaking to a small number of people at the time. Perhaps only his disciples.

Since then, priests have interpreted it as being true for all people everywhere forever. And of course you can't get to Jesus without a priest.

It's like if Jesus told one of his disciples to wash his hands before supper, then priests would make ceremonies of washing people's hands in honor of Jesus' wish.

He is going to rule the world. Now a world ruler needs his subjects to believe in him and know that he has their best interests at heart. When the meek inherit the earth, and it becomes a peaceful place it will be because people obey the laws of the land. If they didn't then it wouldn't be any better than what we have today.

He doesn't NEED anything. Jesus doesn't NEED mankind. That's the whole point! When Adam and Eve screwed up, who says he couldn't have just wiped them out and started over? That's the whole point. He doesn't NEED us to be close to him, he WANTS us to be close to him. And yes, it is a fact. Just get over it. It's a fact. I'd make this MUCH longer, but I don't have time.

Jesus was only speaking to his disciples. This is what has been so misunderstood throughout the ages. Only his disciples had to go through him, as he was there as a guide to lead them through the treacherous path back to the Godhead.
