The purpose of getting an OEM item like XP pro OEM is to have it at a cheap price. Now you are aware that M$ will require you to activate the product OEM or Retail can't go around this rule.

So at your question I will say no , you can't install the same OEM XP pro on several PCs. If you do that you will get cut by the activation delay(1 month) and if you go around that M$ will catch you when you try to update XP(hotfixes).

So to answer your question, No it is not advisable. However you can purchase OEM on bulk (several OEMs) which should drop your price per single OEM item.

Good luck

Joe.

You can't do that to begin with unless you have a license that will alow you so.. It generates a special HASH code for each PC's hardware configuration and picks one, therefore so people cant just copy it on every computer and only buy one. The valid versions can update via system properties> windows update..
