I'm looking for a BUTTER PIE RECIPE. I can't seem to find this one on any of the recipe sites. Can anybody tell me where I can find it or give me the recipe?

My guess is that this is the same as a chess pie.

Here is a recipe:

BUTTERMILK CHESS PIE
2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
5 large eggs, lightly beaten
2/3 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell

Combine sugar and flour in a large bowl; add eggs and buttermilk, stirring until blended. Stir in butter and vanilla, and pour into unbaked pastry shell. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until set. Cool in a wire rack. Yield: one 9-inch pie.

Have you tried going to www.allrecipes.com ? I have found that to be a website where I have found practically every recipe I've been looking for! You can find all sorts of entrees, appetizers, desserts & reviews by people who have tried the recipes too.
