An agnostic is someone who believes in a power/being superior to humans, yet does not believe in a one true and living God. Some of the proponents of Intelligent Design are agnostics -- mainly because they see that life and this Earth could not have happened by random chance or mutation.

An agnostic thinks it impossible to know the truth in matters such as God and the future life with which Christianity and other religions are concerned. Or, if not impossible, at least impossible at the present time.

i asked this question not too long ago.

agnostic is kind of like an atheist, in the sense that both groups dont totally believe in god. Agnostics believe that there is some sort of higher power, but that doesnt necissarly mean they believe in the Jesus Christ as the god. Agnostics are okay with there being a god, they just dont necisarily worship Him or anyother godlike being (s).

i realized im agnostic after asking this question. i hope this helped you as it did me.

To put it at it's most basic level, to be an agnostic means that you don't confirm or deny the existance of a god, nor do you conform to any of the religions.

You seriously can't find the meaning of one word with the whole internet at your fingertips?

And every single person who has responded so far is wrong. An agnostic isn't sure if there is a god or not.

They are not sure whether or not there is a god. They aren't saying there isn't but they aren't saying there is. They don't know. Maybe they are afraid to commit or maybe they just don't want conflict and do in fact have a belief one way or another. I was agnostic before I was born again. Kind of like bisexuality you just can't make up your mind.

An agnostic is someone that just doesn't know what to think, "maybe there is a God, maybe there isn't, I just don't know". That is the agnostics position.

Atheist is someone who believes there is no god or God. No creator or greater power. Just evolution.

Agnostic is someone who believes it is impossible to know for sure one way or the other, but is not as firm in disbelief as an atheist.

Monotheistic is someone who believes there is one God. Christians, Jews, Muslims

Polytheistic believes there is more then one god like the Greek mythological gods.

Hope that helps

Agnostics do not confirm nor deny the existence of god. Basically people like me who don't want to go to church.
