Most bars I go to usually have all guys in there but sometimes I see women and wonder why are they here? Do they like getting hit on by a bunch of drunken slobs?

Women who go to bars alone- are there for one reason.
If they are there with a group of friends- different story.

Why shouldn't women go to bars? Does it offend you to have them there? I do agree there are some whores that may hang out there TOO MUCH, but on the general idea of a woman entering a bar by herself or with a group of other woman, whats the big deal? The question is, why are you there? Generally guys go to bars to, get a drink, hang out, maybe play pool, have a good time and imagine this...some of them even go out to bars with the idea of hitting on the girls that are there. Now no maybe we dont like to be hit on by a bunch of drunken slobs, but if that is the case of what is happening, then we must not be attending the right bar. But on the other side of it, wouldn't it be weird if you walked in a bar and there we no females there..EVER? Correct me if I'm wrong but that would be more along the lines of what they call a "gay bar". And to defend the woman...is it so wrong that even though their may be drunk assholes there, we also may like to go out and have a drink, shot some pool, have a good time with friends, or actually risk the chance of meeting a man who is out for the same reasons and isnt just sitting at the bar hitting on everything that walks past.

A lot of women go to bars with their friends just to hang out or whatever- not because they WANT to get hit on. Why do guys go to bars- sometimes to meet women, so what fun would it be if no women were there. Besides sometimes it's funny to watch a drunken moron TRY to hit on you.

they go for the same reasons a man goes. music, drink, dance and conversation. some of them might be looking for a little strange. some may like getting hit on by a bunch of drunken slobs, they may be lonely too

Oh so now only guys can go to a bar.The funny thing is that straight women go to gay bars so they won't get hit on by drunken guys.And the women you see in the bars are there for one thing and one thing only a booty call.You'll never find me there and if you do I'm the one in the corner trying to out drink my brother and our friends.

hmm. interesting ? We have rights to go bars too~the dif is we are hoping to meet "fun" ppl..maybe we are lonely, maybe had a bad day,maybe we need to just "chill", just like you! Why do you go to bars? Oh, another thought, any woman in their right mind knows, how to handle "the drunken slobs!"

well... dunno...like u guys... we like to go out and have a girls night out and have fun, its not always to be getting hit on and its not always cuz of drinking, sometimes we just need a break..... we have right to have fun... now ill ask u do u always go to bars just to hit on drunken chicks and cheat on ur gf or wife or is it that ur a drunken slob?

they are there to get laid just like the men. from the sound of your question .you are jealous ,because they aren't hitting on you. or your a lesbian.(not that there's anything wrong with that)

they arent confident and need the attention from the guys..or sometimes they are like me and go to watch sports with their friends...And those drunken slobs by the way are no more than my friends ;)

they are probably there for the same reason you are, just to have a relaxing drink and to wind down, not to be hit on by a bunch of drunken idiots, why does this seem so strange to you ladys do drink to and have some of the same needs as us males

Some of us go to bar to relax and have fun w either our partners or friends...unwind-just like what you guys do. This is 2006-women work and go to bars too; we are not bound to stay at home sewing socks.
The rest of the women are looking for a fling, potential husband, whatever. Then there are SPG's...all the asian women who desperately trying to catch all white men.
Last, hookers. But...hookers wont exist too if men doesnt want it...dont they?
