It's a hostess "Holiday cake". I read the ingredients, and I can't seem to figure out what the green chunks are.

If you are lucky they are candied cherries that are think marachino cherries but are green, however in most cases it is watermelon rind that has been processed and coloured green. The truth is either way they are both almost impossible to digest.
