Now that x-mass is over with when would be the next best time to buy a flat TV? Superbowl or just after x-mass?

The best time is between Xmas and Superbowl because of two reasons:

1) Stores are trying to get rid of their inventory to introduce new models.

2) Superbowl is one of the biggest events of the year for TV's. They will have some awesome deals, such as throwing in a DVD player, Tivo or TV stand. Bundle deals for TV and home theater systems.

If you can get anywhere from $500-$1000 off the retail price, you are getting a good price. In 6 months, those prices will have dropped $500-$1000. LCD and plasma prices have been dropping on average about $100/month.

Technically, there isn't really a good time. The best time is when you can afford it and when you need it. But, end of the year or beginning of the year are the best times to buy TV's and many electronics.

Well if you're buying for the Super Bowl, I'm sure you can find some pretty sweet deals a week or two prior. So my suggestion would be to wait till then. If you can find a good one after Xmas, then you might want to settle.

Sometime after New Years would be a good idea. The price won't go down until then, anyway. I heard the drop is going to be 30% in price, but I'm not sure.

convinced, that is a sturdy time to purchase as, prices are predicted to come back down and with the holiday paying for seasons, pay attention of promises. and that i examine that that is projected that smaller contraptions ( between 26 to 37 inch liquid crystal exhibit Tvs) ought to work out the biggest value cuts because of oversupply.
