where do dreams come from? I should go to bed now (esp. since I have to be at work in less than 7 hours), but I think that this question may keep my up unless you can give me an answer that I haven't thought of already.

I think it gives one an outlet and some reprogramming of the mind on how to handle future situations based on today's experience.

depends..there are different types of dreams.

some are completely from the mind- and memory... a story your brain likes to rearrange, like visualizing thoughts in your head.

some are outer body experiences where your soul travels into the timeless realm of the Absolute,

or to different dimensions- (some not so nice places too-nightmares) where you can be visited by other consciousnesses- again could be a positive or negative experience.

and then there is the combo- your Consciousness can have an experience that is both with the mind and out of the body at the same time.

BTW...what is 11:11? i was born on 8:8

Dreams come from your mind sorting through things you need now (the immediate memory) and stuff you need for later (long term memory). This is so that you can function in the morning as the person above said. Your dreams come from the unconscious mind, read up on Psychology

Dreams are forms of reality within the mind. All events are recorded in the manifold of space and time, including dreams.

They come from your brain. They are things you want to happen, or are based on things that have happened, or just random things that happened during your day but skewed. Attached is some spiritual mumble jumble about your mind ,spirit and whatever. So enjoy and guten nacht!
