You can volunteer at a local:
hospital
church
school activities
school
library
visit your city's website for voluntter opportunities

You can go to your city website and search for some places there, but some good one would be the hospital, an animal shelter or the humane society, one of those places building houses for the poor, the library (and if your a student they offer side scholarships with that), and a local school or something. There is a bunch of places you can check out, even at business offices.

That is so GREAT that you are looking for ways to help others. This shows you were raised well and are not selfish.
You can start by calling your local village hall- or go to their website. They should be able to get you in touch with some local resources who help people directly in your own neighborhood.

dear friend.
I am soft hearted,i believe in helping to the people best of my effort.
basically I pick up three catagories.
1) handicapped community fighting for servival of their life.
2)Poor chindren who are not responsible for their birth & if they are educated well they can do something for society.
3)Needy & unskilled women who fights to protect her kid for bread & butter & lead herself to sell herself( I want her not to sell herself in front of some rich bad addictors)
Only one thing I am lacking with me that everything need money .
I have all brain but I can not make use without money.
I can devote time & suggestions.
Anytime you can take my services.

Contact local churches and see if they have programs that need volunteers, or the schools.

Do you have a Salvation Army, or an American Red Cross in your town? If so, contact them, and they will be able to direct you to a place that could utilize your help. Good luck!

ask people in charge of the community! you could help pick up trash, or help donate food to the poor or shelter the homeless
