a model and brand would have helped but anyway,

there should be a cd that comes with your camera, makes sure you put that in and download the program on that, it will help your camera work on the pc.

plug in your cable that you got with your camera, its probably a usb cable, once you have that plugged in then plug your camera in on the other end of the cable.

now wait abit and your computer should make a sound or a pop up will come up near your clock, to say its connected.
now on the camera if you have an lcd screen on it, you should be able to select something like "pc connection" or something to do with transfering photos.

Now go into" my computer" and select your camera device, should be down the bottom and double click, it will open it and all your pics should be on that.

then just copy and past the pics as you would like anything else.
before disconnecting your camera, there should be a little green arrow near your clock in the toolbar,(if your running xp) open that and disconnet your camera, a pop up should come up and say its safe to disconnect.

if that dont work, then check your cable - make sure its in correct and its not damaged, try pluggin it in several different ports, uninstall then reinstall the cd that came with the camera, if you dont thave one then just type in your model and brand into google.com and look for the "drivers" and download it.

You have not stated what brand and model of digital camera that you have. You have not stated if your computer has memory card slots. You have not stated if your printer has memory card slots

First, it always helpful to read the manual to your camera to see how you can transfer your pictures.

Second, you use the usb cable that came with your cable, and you can use the camera and scanner wizard works with XP.

Third, if it is new computer has memory card slots, then you can pull memory card out of your camera, and you use the memory card slot.

Fourth, there are printers that memory card slots, then you can pull memory card out of your camera, and you use the memory card slot on the printer.

Read the instruction manual. ;] Usually you just plug in the USB cord into your computer && your camera && if you have a pretty new computer it will do its thing. The pictures can then be found in the My Pictures folder unless specified otherwise.
