im totally confused about this guy, hes super shy and im old fashioned, id rather have the guy ask me out, but maybe i should just bend the rules? Or maybe not, so i can see if he really likes me. Shy guys, what would you rather have?

Go ahead and ask him out. Make sure he understands what you are asking. It's that simple. If you really like the shy guy, and he is too shy to ask you out and you don't, how would you ever know if he wasn't the right guy for you?

if i really liked a girl id make the 1st move, but im the opposite of shy... as a matter of fact today i gave a girl my number.
