Why does it look like you're moving so slowly from the window, but it's actually travelling very fast?

Below 10000ft aircraft are not allowed to exceed 250kts, and in class b airspace around major airports, they are limited to 200kts. Once past 10000ft, they go about 400mph.
The maximum cruising speed does not indicate the speed that the aircraft cruises at, it indicates the fastest speed it can fly without structural damage, this is known as Vno. The actual cruise is much slower.
For example, it takes 4 hours to fly to miami florida from boston massachussetts, which is about 1100miles when following airways(routes between navaids). that is considerably slower than 500mph.

Guitargod is correct....the speed depends mainly on the weight of the airplane. A bigger airplane like a 747 will have a faster approach speed than a 737. A heavy, loaded 737 will have a faster speed than an empty 737. Wind speed also affects the approach speed. A headwind of 20 knots for example might increase the approach speed by an additional 5-10 knots.

normally from about .70 - .80 Mach. That's roughly 420- 500kts groundspeed. The reason it feels like you aren't moving, is the lack of reference points. Next time you fly, watch for other aircraft; you'll definitely get a feeling for how fast you're moving.

Considering that it takes about 2 1/2 hours to fly from Philadelphia to Orland and it is about 1000 miles they fly at about 400 mile per hour.

Normal cruise speed is Mach 0.80
You see them flying slowly because they are at a higher altitude.
