How long does it take for the cat laxative to kick in (Laxatone)?

I gave him about a teaspoon 1.5 hrs ago.

It depends on how slow or fast your cats digestive system works.Each cat varies,,same as with people.Often times it takes a few doses over days to work properly, or at all.moniter your cats litter box daily,,and make sure he does not develop diarrhea.If stools remain firm,,continue with recommended dosage on back of tube.

it mostly just helps lubricate the cat when it's ready to go
