It's like eating pureed filet mignon on a ritz cracker, a friend of mine insists, while eating caviar and peanut butter on wonderbread sandwiches.

No. Your friend is either just trying to make conversation, or they're too eccentric.

Folding your pizza is like making it into a sandwich. Ask him if he wants to rid the world of sandwiches altogether.

And if he says yes, you look him straight in the eye and you say "Well I don't want to LIVE in THAT world." Lol

Well that's just silly if you ask me. Look in one of the above answers where someone says to refer your friend to a wiseguy in brooklyn. Anyway I always eat mine with a knife and fork, wrong or right I don't like a mess on my hands. The only way to avoid that without a plate, knife, and fork is to fold it.

Folding your pizza is not wrong. In fact, it makes eating your pizza so much easier. Just remember to wipe the grease off, or it may drip.

I suspect that you are from east of the Mississippi. Its a regional thing - and there isn't a thing wrong with it.
Your buddy has a closed mind - or only orders square pizza, ha ha

In New York, arguably the capital of pizza, particularly thin crust, it is how all the locals eat it.
Are you gonna argue with that?
Refer your freind to a wiseguy in brooklyn to make the same assertion!!

While I don't do it all of the time, I do tend to fold my pizza when I eat it and I don't think that is wrong either.

Nope. Nothing wrong with folding pizza at all.

Your slice of pizza is to be eaten the way you like, folded or not.
