I am sorry....I guess I never thought that it would be a difficult thing for those that are truly open to the Holy Spirit...All I can say...the word says to seek Him and you will not be denied...You know...there was this period in my life that my marriage was absolutely dead...In my own understanding I could not see how I could possibly feel differently...but I prayed in faith...I prayed "Lord...I choose to forgive....to be open...I have no feelings of love for my husband....but I choose to love, I choose to forgive, because this is your desire...This is all I can do on my part...as far as my lack of feelings, that is up to you to heal....because I can not make myself feel what I do not feel." All I can tell you, when I opened myself to the Lord in this way...He miraculously brought feelings back to life that I never thought could happen...Maybe if you open yourself this way...and choose to believe...even when it feels impossible...He will reveal himself to you... I hope so....I can not imagine facing lifes difficulties without him...It is so wonderful to be under the shelter and provision of the most High.... P.S. It is impossible for a human to talk another human into accepting Christ...we can share our faith...but it is up to the Holy Spirit to testify this truth to you and to convict you to reach out and accept what Christ did on the cross for you and me...Just think...He did this when we were yet entrenched in sin...unperfect...just where we are....Be Blessed.

By the way....we had our 25th wedding anniversary this year.

OK, so I'll give you an honest answer.

I can't convert you. Only you can do that. If you don't believe in God (manifested as Father, Son and Holy Ghost), then...well...it's gonna be hard for you to be converted. And in order to get there, it's going to take *you* wanting to seek out a deeper understanding of God in your own heart.

That's your honest answer.

The Bible isn't one huge contradiction. It is a book, which together with the clergy and lay of the church and Tradition of the Church make up Catholicism. It is an account of how God chose and refined man, then the Jewish people, and plant them (necessary war). Then, and before prophets foretold a man who would be a Lamb of God, foreshadowed by the Jewish sacrifices, for the salvation of man. It occurred.

Mitraism appears to be an interpretation of the Jewish prophets.

Thank you.

Catholicism, the reasonable choice.

Thank you for your sincerity. Just ask God to show Himself and make Himself known to you. Ask and you will receive. Who knows how God will answer:
Someone might say something to you---maybe even a complete stranger.
It might be w/ a song
He might give you a dream or a vision.
Read a bible, but pray to God FIRST to make Himself shown to you...He might speak to you w/ scripture. ( A certain scripture or passage might be heavily impressed upon you. And it might be repeated over the course of a few days from different sources.)

The ways He could make Himself real to you are unlimited. Just ask for the eyes of your understanding to be enlightened. Ask the Lord to open the eyes of your heart...tell Him you want to see Him.
Bottom line, Dear. I cannot make you believe. I could tell you my story and that would be a testimony to the things God has done in my life. But I alone cannot make you believe. God is the only one.
Ask Him. He's more than willing. Just talk to Him w/ a sincere heart.

He loves you fiercely. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. A treasure in His eyes.

Shalom.
Be blessed.

No one here could really make you convert to another religion, unless you have the desire to do so. See people around you outside there, maybe one or two can help. Christians are everywhere, but the best place you start over is in church though.

It has nothing to do with converting, it is the right heart condition. And only God is the reader of hearts.
If you truly want to become a true Christian, why not take it to prayer and let God answer your prayer!

just think about how every time you did something dangerous or stupid, god is the one who saved your skin. Sometimes I can't remember why I believe in god but maybe if you go to a good church and read parts of the bible then you can see that christianity is a great religion.

If I could convert you I would, but I can't, only Jesus can do that, if I could convince you that my God is real, I would but i can't.
I had to have an experience with the Holy Spirit to convince me.
some people call it faith, but with me that was not enough.
Faith came after I converted. Faith in God, not Faith that God is real.
The bible says that no man come to the Father except through Me.
and the Me is Jesus.
If you are real, then talk the Jesus, tell him you want to believe and if he is real then to make Himself known to you.
that is all prayer is, it is talking to God.

are you atheist by chance i ask not to insult but out of curiousity anyway as for myself i'm agnostic so i'm not sure either way if god exists or not so if you feel the same way then maybe you are agnostic which there's nothing wrong with that as an agnostic you are able to think for yourself and come to your own conclusion when you feel that you have enough evidence and proof to make a decision that suits you

I cannot convert you, neither can anyone else. All I could do is lead you in the right direction because I've been there myself once. God has to call you, it's His voice that speaks to your heart, and until that happens, it's sort of pointless.
