OK... I am fair skinned and have been using Jergens Natural glow tanning lotion. I'm not too happy with this product since the results are so light. I want to try the medium, but as I'm sure everyone else is, I don't want any orange color. Has anyone else with fair skin tried the medium with good results? How about that Loreal tanning lotion? Which do you all think is better? I want a good dark tan without ORANGE!!! PLEASE HELP! Thanks.

L'Oreal is BY FAR THE BEST!!! I use it and it's great.
I've tried all the fake tans on the market (St. Tropez, Fake Bake, Neutrogena, Estee Lauder, Lancome, Bobbi Brown, etc...) but the one I always come back to is L'Oreal Sublime Bronze in Light/Medium (it comes in a yellow bottle with an orange top) You can get it at a drugstore for about less than $10. Anyways, make sure to exfoliate right before, and apply a THIN layer (not too thick or else it will look orange) and re-apply straight for about 4 days (you can control the color and decide for yourself) each night or each morning (once a day is enough). Make sure to wash your face with a cleanser that does not contain any AHA (salicylic acid, etc..) so that you don't exfoliate your tan (Eucerin Redness Relife cleanser or Cetaphil Sensitive Skin cleanser both do not contain these AHA's)
Also, when you apply your sunless tanner, you don't even need to apply it to your eyelids (just around your eyes) And then, after the 4 days of self-tanning, apply a great bronzer (I LOVE Hoola Bronzer at Sephora or Macy's) and finish off with some red blush for a sun-kissed sunburned look (which looks much more natural just to your cheeks not your nose or forehead or else that will look weird)

sorry to be the bearer of bad news but if you are fair skinned your not going to get DARK! however you can get that GORGEOUS bronze'ish' color and i too have used jergens and dont like it, i have olive skin and it makes me look orangish. but i believe olay has a lotion with self tanner in it and works MUCH better than jergens. try their fair skinned one and if you still want a little bit darker or bronzer try the medium skin toned one but try it like on your thigh where no one can see it then see the results there before you use it all over. i would stay away from a spray tan unless you do the first level, i use to work at at the beach and fair skinned girls doing high levels just looked goofy! the light bronze color is gorgeous and definatly coming back. the 'black' brazilian look is fading out so dont worry so much to look black!! and i would also suggest stick to self tanner until the natural sun comes back out. not only is natural sun healthier for your skin but it gives you a much better look. good luck!

ALSO "california sun" has an AMAZING self bronzing FOAM! it goes on great and you can see where your putting it...as the day goes on the darker/bronzer you'll get! i use it all the time!! especially on my face!! it def looks more natural than any of those lotions with self tanner in them!!! check out ebay if your interested.

Try this...my friends and i have perfected the process over the years.

Buy a self tanner in medium or dark. Get rubber gloves (or 2 plastic baggies if you want) and squeeze half tanning lotion and half regular skin lotion mix and rub on one part at a time (leg, arm, chest, face). The gloves help becasue as you are rubbing, the lotion isnt being rubbed into your palms to make oragne.

The half half mix prevents streaking and doesnt affect the color at all. Try it.

I am pretty fair skinned and the Jergens medium (after 2 uses) turned me orange.

Jergens natural glow medium works really really well. I tried it. I think the light is for a very very light skin so its for those skin colors that doesn't want to be to dark

I am a fair-skined redhead. I had good luck with Vasline's version of the natural glow. It stayed on untill I went swimming, but other than that, it was good. It darkens over time and didn't make me orangy. Good luck

If you do not like tanning beds
You should get a spray tan
self tanners suck
