I find it hysterically funny that some of the answers have scriptures attached to them. People isn't that the point of the question? Anyone can quote scripture or passages from their book of religion but that still doesn't mean it's the ONLY RIGHT RELIGION.
There is no correct religion because ALL religions were created by humans. And the Christians don't seem to realize that they had some pretty good natural drugs back then that could cause hallucinations of, oh, I don't know, say.....a burning bush that talks. That's sounds like a acid trip to me. More than a little ridiculous.
But hey, Christians, don't get mad the other religions have some pretty tall tales also. How about the Muslims they really think that when they off others they get rewarded with several virgins or nmpyhs in heaven. That's great for the men but what do the women get? Sounds like a pretty sexist religious belief to me. And again not proveable or believable.
What cracks me up the most is people really get mad if you say you don't believe in religion. Or their religion.
I think it's a riot to see how upset everyone gets over something they can't prove. Yeah, Christians, spout your scriptures but that still doesn't prove you have the right answers.
It's all speculation.
Basically what I'm saying is all religions are based on part fact part fantasy part fiction.
NO HUMAN KNOWS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DIE. Try proving that!!!!

what a controversial question. I believe that Jesus Christ who is also one with the father and the holy spirit is the one and only true god and i can prove and guarantee it. i bet many others say the same about whoever their worshipping. but if you are sincere in your search and go about it open to whatever might seem impossible, that god will lead you to him.as far as religions, god does not discriminate. the bible says that there is"one lord, one faith, and one baptism".but how do we know which one is the right one?we can only seek god in what religion to follow under Jesus Christ that is. there may be apostolic, baptist, or Pentecostal.they may have different ways they serve god but, the point is we all have the same mind to live for him.and because Through our salvation we are his children,we are all one family who should not fail to come together in fellowship b/c of our different practises. as long as we serve the same god we should try to except our differences.and if you are a true child of god,you will. But as far as those who worship other human beings or trees or who follow after man made religion, you should put on your thinking cap and do your research.honestly you will find that the Christan faith of those who serve Jesus Christ is the true faith.no other religion can top it.it's flawless.

Mine isn't more right than the others.
It is the right one for me, though.
I don't think my beliefs are silly, as they do not have a base in *any* mythology.
I love mythology, and as a pagan, I love the concept of all things having a spirit dwelling within them. But I enjoy mythology as beautiful stories, *not* fact to create a religion around.

Well, I am going to be the brave one, go out on a limb and say that I fully believe that my religion is the only true one and that all others are false to a point of being ridiculous. How do I know? Many years of study and investigation. I do not pick random passages of scripture and twist them to my own meaning. I do not tyr to convert all the people in the world to my religion. I think that it is a cowards way out to say, "oh, my religion is right for me." B.S. People so blindly believe things they are told without investigating the truth of it. I get so sick and tired of the idiocy of blind believers. This does not mean that I don't believe in faith. I fully believe in God, and I have neither seen nor heard Him. How do I know He exists? I just do. One of my favourite quotes is,
"They draw near unto me with their mouths, but their hearts are far from me."

Err, I would call myself a philosophical buddhist/atheist. Atheist because a personal, sin forgivingm hell sending judeo/christian/muslim god has a philosophically weak base. But buddhist because I can't quite suscribe to a purely naturalistic worldview based on the evidence of non-algorithmic phenomena in the brain. I also find that buddhist philosophy is the most complicated, but illuminating thing I have read (and most importantly, they are tolerant, you don't have to be a buddhist to be good in their opinion, the same could be said of hindus, i respect their philosophy and have read both the bhavagad-gita, and the srimad bhavagatam)

Yes, there are many religions
But only one truth.
Each of us has to decide for him/herself what that truth is.
I believe it is Jesus Christ.
How do I look back and "convince myself"?
In all of these other religions, I see mankind reaching out for the God they instinctively KNOW exists.
ONLY in Christianity do I see God reaching down for mankind.

Silly or not. It doesn't matter what any of us believe. It only matters what will happen. What is truth. If I jump off a building, will not believing in gravity save me? No! So seek what is true to save yourself from your own belief.

Great question. There certainly are many religions out there. It's important to recognize that many religions have good teachings. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth. Jesus Christ Himself has endorsed that it is the true and living church. Also, I have felt the confirmation of the Holy Ghost that it is the true church of Christ. I think there is little else that could be more convincing.

my beliefs are no better than the next man's. they are right for me. and that is all that matters to me. i really do not care what anyone else believes so long as they are not trying to force me to follow their beliefs by passing them into laws.
oh yeah, i am a Celtic Pagan, not so far from the Greek gods.
