catnip and a laser pointer...no joke. I have a tubby kitty too and I can get him to run around for a good 15 minutes after he gets a little catnip in him and I shine a laser pointer on the walls and floor

Go to the pet department of a store and buy the wand with a string and toy attached to it. My cat's favorite was the wand with the feathers on the end of the string. The other wand had a toy and that was so so. I also found a toy that was like a very long fluffy mouse on the end of a string. The other game I played was roughhousing with my cats. I would let them grab my arm with their claws and teeth. They loved it. I just grabbed their belly and tickled away.

Cats do sleep alot during the day; They are nocturnal. Male cats sleep more than females.If your cat is losing weight take it to the vet.
My cats are stimulated with catnip. It drives them crazy. They also like to chase a laser pointer.

I have cat toys all over the house, but her favorite toy is a pair of old boot laces tied together. I toss it - she brings it back so I can toss it again.
The only cat I ever saw that plays fetch.

First of all You do not play w/ a Cat, it plays w/ you as evident in how he's treating you. Just be cool and allow it to know that you want to spent some time w/ it.

Place 1/2 cup of laundry detergent in the comode. Add the cat, and shut the lid. After, oh 2 minutes or so, lift the lid. You will have a very clean comode and cat. Stand back though...he may be PISSED. After that, he may be in a playful mood.

Get a Kitten! I did for my extra fat black snoozer. He's 8 years old and 22 lbs!! We got him a kitten and now he chases her and they play all day! Sometimes he gets annoyed, but we have a dog too and they all chase each other. No joke
PS-my animals were abandoned. I do not believe you should purchace a cat. or dog for that matter

well you cant make your cat do anything but for mine i just sstart like throwing toys at them and giving them lmots of love and they stated playing wtih me like a week ago caz i had the same problem as you did but i wish you luck!!! and if all doesnt work just get a new cat jk but cats are serouidly lazy little critters

My cats love catnip. They roll around in it, and eat it, and get SO! very silly. Also, I buy catnip toys where the back seam opens, and you can insert a package of fresh catnip inside. They love that, too! Lots and lots of toys and catnip. ENJOY.
