What is a Blue-Ray disc? Now every new movie that comes out says "Now on DVD and Blue-Ray Disc".

BluRay is the nextgen of DVD's. DVD's are recorded in standard definition or 480p. BluRay is recorded in full high definition or 1080p. BluRay can store up to 50GB, where DVD's hold up to 9.4GB. There is a significant difference in storage and video quality.

FYI, you need to buy a BluRay DVD player in order to read BluRay DVD's. It will cost you $800=$1000 for a BluRay DVD player.

Its like the next format, for example remember the VHS that were replaced with DVD? thats what is going to happen to DVD´s, also apart from Blu-Ray they are HD-DVD, that are practically the same, with the exception that Blu-Rays have more capacity
